about us

We are a group of Polish transgender people (of all the 'trans' minorities), meeting and acting not only in the internet, but in the real world as well. We aim at creating a positive image of trans (TV, TG, TS, and all the related ones), and fight the myths about us.

currently

Currently we are preparing to create and publish a report about social situation
of transgender persons in Poland. In October in Warsaw there will be the
"Teczowe Rodziny" festival (it means "Rainbow Families"), of which we are
co-organizers. The goal of this festival is to show how we can live in our non
heteronormative families. The festival takes place from 24th to 26th of October.
The first event is a press conference, after that films projections,
workshops, the "Rainbow Families in private" meeting. The most important part of the
festival for us – a debate "Transphobia and trans- acceptance in family".
This is the first time in Poland, that transgendered persons come out from the
closet and speak about their life in public.

our activities

The most significant accomplishment for our group was the finalization of legal registering of the group. Our regular activities are divided between two cities now – Wroclaw, being our headquarters, and Warsaw, where we gained a local division. We organized and conducted educational workshops devoted to the subject of transgenderism (multiple occassions, workshops were organized for: workers of LGBTI organizations, students, local divisions of Campaign Against Homophobia and Amnesty International). There were also workshops aimed at the ‘trans’ community itself (e.g. workshops on styling and image creation). We either organized or cooperated in organizing team-building and integrating events for LGBTI community members – the events were of both formal and informal nature. We also created a support group for ‘trans’ people, in Warsaw, along with regular meetings for any and all trans persons.
In cooperation with CAH Wroclaw, we are conducting discussion meetings, concentrating on a wide range of issues, from gender, human rights, gay/les, to specifically transgender ones.




During a meeting of transgendered/crossdressers/transsexual/non-heteronormative persons from all over Lower Silesia there appeared an initiative of establishing a informal group whose aim would be a general support of the trans community. The experience of such individuals turned out to include the sense of harassment and insecurity while following their lifestyles. In relation to the outcome of the meeting it was decided that the main aim of our group will be fight against transphobia and homophobia and other forms of discrimination, promotion of diversity, dissemination of human rights and equality values, with the second main aim of this informal group being providing social education about these persons as well as increasing the self-awareness and integrity of the community. The initiative resulted in formal registering of Trans-Fuzja Fund.
